Today I will make bamboo shoot rice.


A friend of mine sent me some bamboo shoots last week.


I'm really looking forward to some bamboo shoots in the spring!

Split the bamboo shoots with a knife.

Peel the skin to the point where it can be eaten.

Place the above bamboo shoots in a pot of water with rice bran over heat.

Cover with a plate and simmer for about 1 hour.

Rice mixed with bamboo shoots seasoned with sweet sake and soy sauce.


It is said that if you eat too many bamboo shoots, you will get bad body parts.


I don't want to overeat.
