Last December, I went to Ito Marine Town!
Ito City is located in the heart of the Izu region in Shizuoka Prefecture. While Izu is generally mild and rarely sees snow, this year brought heavy snowfall. I hear it was quite a hassle because the water pipes froze.
Ito Marine Town is a famous roadside station located along National Route 135. A roadside station is a rest area for drivers. Since it faces the ocean, it also features a marina where boats can dock.
Ito Marine Town features hot springs and sells local produce such as mandarins and tea. Since there’s enough to keep you entertained all day, locals often meet up there and head out together. The signature dish is definitely the grilled horse mackerel set meal. The horse mackerel from Izu is truly delicious.
The parking lot is spacious! There's also a hot spring! Mari-nyan and Captain Kamome are here too!
Mari-nyan and Captain Kamome are the official mascots of Ito Marine Town.
The rest room is large.

The rabbit-shaped robot Consent-chan that came inside the coffee maker he bought. Denki-kun lived with this robot. Consent-chan, who shoots lightning when she eats. Will he be able to live well with her?
